| Introduction About the Department |
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was started in the year 1995. The first batch of students graduated from this department in July 1999.
With the present world of automation / computerization / industrialization and fast developments, Electrical and Electronics becomes the main branch and nervous system. To meet the needs and challenges, the department of electrical and electronics Engineering in Velammal Engineering College has a firm commitment to develop and produce stalwart Electrical Engineers of high technical knowledge combined with leadership skills, decision making, design capabilities and problem solving. |
|
| An Introduction to the Course |
The branch of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has a well defined curriculum which aims at training the students in various fields of Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering Applications at both introductory and advanced levels with due exposure to the latest innovations and advancements in these fields.
The syllabus is designed such that by the end of the course, the student attains an in-depth knowledge both in theoretical and in practical engineering. The students are trained to analyze almost all electrical and electronics equipment / instruments they may come across, the theory behind their operation, their design, procedure for their maintenance, service, etc., with the knowledge gained by undergoing this course, the students can arrive at quick solutions to the existing problems and also involve themselves in designing and implementing innovative ideas and concepts.
This branch exposes the students to the variety of fields including electrical, electronics, mechanical, civil and computer engineering. This enables the students to become perfect engineering in the field who can work on various developments in today's competitive environment. |
