The Department of Mechanical Engineering accredited by National Baureau of Accreditation(NBA) was established as a full fledged department in the year 1999. The department offers a four year UG course on mechanical engineering with an intake of 120 students 4 year UG course on production engineering with an intake of 18 students. The deparment is having a core team of qualified and experienced faculty with industrial and research background. Also,the department is fully equipped with the state-of-the art laboratories.

The Research activities in the department focus on Refrigeration and Air conditioning,Alternative fuels and Emission control in IC Engines, FEA, CFD, Composite Materials, Non-traditional Machining process,Energy Engineering etc.
