The Department has been in the forefront of establishment of the TIFAC-CORE on pervasive computing technologies at a cost of Rs. 5.14 crores in the college. One Asst. Professor and 2 Lecturers have been deputed from the department to work in the CORE. |

| Department of TIFAC-CORE IN PERVASIVE COMPUTING TECHNOLOGIES |
|
Velammal Engineering College (VEC) signed an MOU with Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC) on September 23 2005 to create a Centre of Relevance and Excellence (CORE) in Pervasive Computing Technologies. With this, VEC joins an exclusive club of 25 other top institutions who have created COREs in various domains. (Read More)
