Velammal Engineering College established in 1995 is a part of the Velammal Educational Trust which has a string of establishments with 35,000 students on its roll within a span of 21 years. It is situated in calm and serene surroundings on the Ambattur - Redhills road, 7 kms away from Anna Nagar West. Today, it maintains the status of being one among the top 5 Engineering Colleges amongst 250 colleges in Tamil Nadu. The Trust also includes another engineering college at Madurai, seven approved Matric. Hr. Sec. Schools, a professionally managed International School and a top class Business School which has been rated A+ grade by Business India.
