About Our College
The Velammal Engineering College was established in the year 1995-96,
Thiru. M.V. Muthuramalingam to inculcate among the youth a sense of discipline which is important to mould them into useful and capable citizens.
The watch words of the trust are "Dedication, Determination and Distinction", to impart quality education. It is a self financing non-minority institution,
affiliated to Anna University and approved by All India Council for Technical Education
(AICTE) and NAAC with A5 grade.

About Our Department
The department of Computer Science Engineering has been accredited with A3 grade by NAAC. Our department has highly qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty. Our department has ranked 2nd among all affiliated colleges under Anna University in the year 2008-09. We also have University rank holders in our department.
