The Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department was established as a full fledged department in the year 1995. The Department offers 4-Year UG course with an intake of 120 and 2-Year PG program (M.E. Power Systems Engineering) with an intake of 18. The UG course is accredited for 5 years and PG course for 3 years by NBA.

The Department is aiming at the development of student community to face the future world with the latest technical knowledge through research, good leadership qualities, industry-institution interaction and spirit of competence. The Department is equipped with well qualified and experienced faculty members imparting high quality of discipline and engineering education. The department is  fully equipped with state of the art laboratories. 

The Department computer centre has the most versatile, powerful and widely networked computer systems with software like  Mi Power 5.0, MATLAB 6.5, ETAP 5.5.0 and PSCAD 4.2.1.
