Velammal Engineering College was established in the year
1995-96 by Shri. M.V. Muthuramalingam. It is affiliated to Anna University and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The Institution was awarded the prestigious ISO 9001:2000 certification and accredited with
‘A’ grade by NAAC.
The Department of Computer Science and Applications is headed by Dr. M. Ramakrishnan. The department offers intensive career oriented training to the students. Thrust is given towards overall development of the candidates and instilling professional ethics.
