The Department of Information Technology was started in the year 1999, with the aim of catering to the increasing need for quality IT professionals in the nation’s march towards the digital age. Being the member of The Velammal Family, the department is committed to impart quality technical knowledge and develop the necessary skills to enable students to successfully meet real world challenges. The Department boasts of having conducted similar conferences in the recent past, besides the annual National Level Technical Symposiums, workshops and training programmes.
