The department focuses its attention on the needs of future engineers by imparting Technical English, Business English and Communicative English. Besides this, it trains students for Business English Certificate (BEC) Examination conducted by the British Council and certificates are awarded by Cambridge University, London.

As value addition, courses on foreign languages viz., German, Japanese & French are offered to students of I & II year B.E./B.Tech to enable them to take first level examination conducted by Max Mueller Bhavan, ABK AOTS DOSOKAI and Alliance Franchise respectively.

The department is well equipped with state-of-the – art Language Laboratory, which plays a vital role in improving students’ Communicative Skills.
